Raising Avalon Mailing List

We are currently accepting applications for new members.

The Raising Avalon Mailing List is hosted by YahooGroups.  If you would like to become a member of the Raising Avalon Mailing List, you must complete and submit the Raising Avalon Application and forward it to Eira@RaisingAvalon.com .

Once you have submitted your application, the Raising Avalon list will be given the option to accept or decline your membership.  You will be notified as soon as a decision has been reached.  If you do not receive a response within one week of submitting your application please e-mail Eira, as in this technological age, there is the possibility of missed communications.

We are pretty established now, in our community and what we'd make of ourselves.  We have been created within the ashes of greatness, much like a Phoenix, and our owners and moderators carry great pride in the work being done.

Mail load may be 100 to 500 posts a month. If you're worried about daily mail income select digest mode, or web only mode, available within your YahooGroups setup.

If you have questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact the List Owners and Moderators at Emrys@RaisingAvalon.com.

As well, if you wish to advertise for your online business or your own e-mail list, please check with our moderating staff before posting to the list. We are often open to networking within the Pagan Community, and welcome the chance to converse with others seeking the same goals.

The owners of Raising Avalon expect List Rules to be followed.  We will be the sole judges of when the rules have been broken, and will respond to any rules breakage as we deem appropriate.  We will generally follow a three strikes rule:  Warning on first infraction, Moderated status on second infraction, removal from the list on the third.  However, we may, at any point, deem more drastic measures to be necessary for any given infraction.

1.       List members must be 18 years of age or older.  The content of this list can be mature in nature at times.

2.       Be aware that the content of this list is monitored by the owners.  We wish to encourage positive, meaningful discussions and conversations.  It is imperative that all members understand this.  It is the right and duty of the owners of the list to remove posts or threads which endanger that positive outlook, or which are deemed to be intended as attacking others, harassment, harmful to the community or engendered with the intent of causing distrust, anger or fear.  While we respect open-mindedness, we reserve the right to terminate any member who, in our opinion, wilfully attempts to instigate disruptive or inflammatory threads on this list or harm its members.

3.        Be open minded and respectful of all the other members.  Community is about every member belonging and feeling safe enough to participate in all our activities.

4.       Interact as a community.  Use your diversity.  Talk, joke, have fun, cry if you feel the need.  The message board and mailing list are up there as a way of communication.  Share your experiences, learn from one another, and help spread positive energy. List clean-ups follow when our Staff has time, and so if a member has not posted in more than two months, termination of their membership can be expected.

5.       All posted material MUST be original in thought and word, unless otherwise indicated directly within the post. If this rule is disregarded even once, Moderators are within their right to revoke your membership. Please, for the sake of our online community and out of respect for writers and artists alike, give credit where credit is due.

6.       Please be a courteous writer and trim all posts down to your response. Please do not post chain letters, virus or hoax warnings, pornographic or unoriginal material.

We thank all our members and guests alike for your understanding and respect of our rules and regulations.
