4 ounces Bittersweet Chocolate or Semisweet Chocolate, cut up into small, melt-able chunks
2 tablespoons Margarine or Butter
3/4 cup Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Corn Syrup

Optional:
2 to 4 tablespoons Liqueur, such as Orange, Hazelnut, or Amaretto

Directions:

1. In a medium heavy saucepan cook chocolate and margarine or butter over low heat until melted, stirring frequently.

2. Add milk, sugar, and corn syrup. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.

3. Boil gently, stirring frequently, for 8 minutes or until mixture is thickened.

4. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. If desired, stir in liqueur. Serve warm.

5. To store, cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week. Makes 1 cup of chocolaty goodness.

Notes: Want a versatile chocolate sauce that is easy, too? This one is tops. Serve it over ice cream, angel cake, éclairs, or cream puffs. Add just a splash of liqueur, and you’ve got a sauce that is made for adults only.
