Recipe: Rose Hip Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp rosewater
1 pinch nutmeg
1 tsp rosehips
1 1/3 cups flour
Confectioner's sugar

Directions:

1. Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg, salt, rosewater and nutmeg.

2. Put rose hips in a blender and chop for one minute or until they are in 1/8-inch pieces. Blend flour and rose hips into egg mixture and mix well.

3. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 -15 minutes.

4. Remove cookies from sheet and roll in confectioner's sugar.
 
Notes: Makes 24 cookies.
